MEET Lawrence

A Fighter for Cranston. A Voice for Rhode Island.

Lawrence Almagno Jr. grew up in Cranston, attended Saint John's University, and went on to earn his law degree from Roger Williams University in 2012. He founded Almagno Law to fight for the people of Rhode Island — injured workers, families wronged by corporations, and small business owners navigating a complex legal system. That same drive now fuels his campaign for the Rhode Island State House.

Lawrence believes the State House needs people who have actually fought for everyday Rhode Islanders — not just talked about it. As a practicing attorney selected as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers, he has spent over a decade holding powerful interests accountable in court. Now he's ready to do the same in Providence.

Outside the courtroom, Lawrence founded the American Youth Rugby League Association, bringing the sport's lessons of toughness, teamwork, and resilience to young people across the region. He is deeply committed to Cranston and believes public service is the highest form of community investment.
